Let Aliqua Events Ltd help you to fulfil one of your obligations for appraisal and revalidation.
We know that getting to in-house significant event analysis meetings can be difficult for some GPs, especially locums and some sessional doctors.
Furthermore, such meetings can be hurried and pressured, leaving doctors feeling that their problem cases have not received sufficient attention.
Dr Peter Bailey will lead an interactive session, presenting a framework for discussing significant events. The session will give you an opportunity for a thoughtful and supportive review of some of the significant events you choose to bring. The discussion and reflection will allow you to meet appraisal and revalidation requirements.
Followed by an innovative and refreshing look at consultation skills addressing the fact that real life consultations do not always follow the linear models described in the text books which can lead to frustration and misunderstandings of the real reason a patient has come to see you.
This interactive session will examine some of the ideas contained in Dr Bailey’s book “The New Doctor, Patient, Illness Model” for establishing a a more incisive overview of the Patient, Doctor, Illness dynamics. Using these ideas can facilitate a quicker, clearer understanding of the heart of the patients concerns and consultations that are satisfying and effective for both you and your patients.
